Nutrition Consulting for Dogs & Cats at Hip Hound by appointment only, as well as house call consultations. She specializes in transitioning dogs and cats onto raw food diets or healthy alternatives. Heather has over 15 years experience working in holistic & conventional veterinary clinics as a veterinary technician, herbal pharmacist, and nutrition consultant. Her nutrition philosophy is one that looks at the whole animal. She "brings them back to nature" as much as possible. This includes not only diet and supplements, but also awareness of lifestyle, knowledge of disease prevention, and the use of holistic therapies. She works closely with many Portland veterinarians, animal chiropractors, acupuncturists, and herbalists, to form a healing team that addresses the individual needs of dogs & cats. 2 year old Great Dane, 120lbs+

Roane is a little "pony" that would crawl on you to snuggle if he could. He is always sweet, insanely curious and above all, a big goof. He might be afraid of balloons, but he loves to fetch a tennis ball like his golden retriever brother. He is a constant comedian with a huge sensitive heart.

Every few months we choose one lucky dog's photo to be featured at our store. All photos are taken by Portland's premier pet photographer: Four Legged Photo. The winner receives a $25 gift certificate to The Hip Hound, their photo displayed in our store for a few months, and the final 11" x 14" picture!
